She smiled.
Odetti has always lived the hard life of a Pizza Lady. The long hours... The small pay... The fake smile she was forced to put on day by day... It was all part of her daily life.
This day was special though. This day would change her life forever.
It was raining outside in the dark, and the day had been long, yet dead... The heat was sweltering hot, despite the rain, and all through the shop there was silence.
*Knock Knock*
Odetti looked around. To her left was the oven - Left on due to the hope of oncoming Pizza. To her right, a few dying flowers, desperately needing attention. Infront of her, the door standing wide open, hopefully inviting in customers. She sighed, and looked down once again.
*Knock Knock*
She looked up, and gasped! Infront of her, appearing out of no-where , was a tall man wearing a dark black rain-coat, who was knocking on the counter!
"Can I help you?" Odetti inquired, as was usual when greeting a customer.
"I have come from a land far away... A land devoid of Pizza. I have journeyed far to sample some of this supposedly delicious food!"
Odetti looked at the customer confused. A land devoid of Pizza? What strange talk was this!
"What type of Pizza would you like?" she inquired.
"Tis to feed a many... I would like 5 of everything you have"
Odetti gasped! There was a great variety of Pizza in the store!
She quickly worked out the price.
"That will be..."
Before she could finish, the customer interrupted her.
"Money is no object! Take this, kind maiden!", and handed her a large brown bag.
Odetti, now slightly curious, opened the bag. Inside, the bag was filled to the brim with R200 notes! There must have been several hundred thousand rand inside that bag!
"You have given me abit much money," Odetti quickly said, going with her kind, honest nature.
"No, it is all for you!"
Odetti gasped! This money would make her rich beyond her wildest Pizza-related dreams!
A few minutes later (Odetti was stunned the entire time) the Pizza arived. The stranger opened another large sack, piled all the Pizza inside and left. Odetti, now back to reality,rushed out to thank the customer for his enormous tip!
Outside she looked left, then right, then left again. It was a wide open area, yet there was no sight of the strange man... The customer had vanished...
